Winter in Isola 2000

Isola 2000 consists mainly of a long, snaking collection of apartments, shops, bars and restaurants, all under one roof and linked by a central corridor. There are a number of restaurants offering high quality quisine and also there is a good choice of more reasonably priced ones too. You will find the prices are considerably lower than those of better-known resorts.

Our favourite restaurant in the evenings is the Cow Club, and the Crocodlile Bar is good for a drink.  During the day we often stop for a drink or lunch at the La Vallette, it comes with its own donkey.

The ski resort offers a varied combination of activities and events:

  • Torch light parades, fireworks, night-time skiing, snowshoe hiking, various shows, bbq parties at the snow park, free champagne for New Years Eve and roses on St Valentines Day.
  • Ice-skating, ice karting, snowmobile hire.
  • Various competitions i.e. Andros Trophy (January), PACA Snowboard tour, French ski championships, Big Boarder competiton.
Isola village just 17km down the mountain has an excellent indoor swimming pool with slide, sauna and fitness room, worth a visit if you wish to relax for a day.
